Conditions: Beautiful sunny weather, a southerly wind. Re-sealed road on Taharoa hill made riding feel rather heavy... Races: U13 raced from Bolten Rd to top of the Taharoa Hill. U15 one x circuit of Taharoa circuit & finished at the top of the hill. Open/U17 did 2x Taharoa circuit and finished at the top of the hill - 3x climbs in all for Open/U17. Race commentary: The attrition rate was high with quite a group stopping after one circuit. A couple of punctures out there too (Fair Play award: Barbera Lucia for stopping to help Kaye Wolfe with a flatty). Thanks to helpers out on the course & judges etc at the top of the hill. Thanks to the support crew yelling with much enthusiasm at the top of the hill - don't know if it made anyone ride faster up, but a cheering crew is always welcome!
