Summer series for 2024/25. This is a weekly evening event between 16th October until Christmas
We would love to see you all get in behind this new 2024/5 series; all bikes and levels welcome.
All riders welcome.
6:00pm - Sign-in
6:15pm - Social Ride starts (no times, just a lot of fun!)
6:20pm - Race briefing for main race - ALL MUST BE PRESENT
6:30pm - Race Start, e-Bikes
6:32pm - Mass Start for all other riders

ALL RIDERS MUST HAVE A REAR FLASHING LIGHT FOR SAFETY
- non-licensed riders are welcome for 3 races.

COURSE - Bolton rd -> Hutchinson rd ->Pakaru -> Kereone rd-> Settlement rd at the intersection either left into Hutchinson rd to go to back to the start. 23kms

Health and Safety Guidelines & Code of Conduct
I Acknowledge and agree that, where I participate in an event organised by Morrinsville Wheelers Cycling Club (MWCC):
a) I am aware of the dangers of road racing and the real risk of injury and accept all risks flowing from my participation in every event;
b) I am responsible for reading and understanding any written race instructions;
c) I will abide by all race rules and directions issued by the event organisers and will obey all relevant road rules; I will obey all instructions from race commissaires and organisers. I will keep left of the white line (or middle of the road) at all times;
d) Briefings, signage, and course marshals, are a service to me and other competitors but are not a guarantee of safety;
e) Should circumstances require a change of format or categories within an event, I consent to those changes being made by the organisers;
f) As the organisers cannot control every eventuality, I release all persons associated with every event from any claims arising out of my participation;
g) If I am involved in an accident, I will not seek to blame or make a claim against the organisers; nor will I assist anyone else in making such a claim;
h) In the event of an accident I consent to receiving any medical treatment the event organiser or medical or paramedical personnel think necessary;
i) I am responsible for the roadworthiness and safety of my bicycle and the security of all other equipment and personal possessions used in connection with every event;
j) If I have any concerns with the race organisation, I will raise them with the organisers first;
k) I will follow safe bunch etiquette as encouraged by Morrinsville Wheelers Cycling Club;
l) To ride in a manner that does not bring cyclists in general, any associated sponsors, and MWCC in particular, into disrepute;
m) To refrain from any abuse, threatening behavior, abusive language or gestures to anyone including race officials, the handicapper, club members, volunteers, members of the public or fellow riders;
When you sign your name for your number you are agreeing to these expectations. Enjoy your ride.

To join Morrinsville Wheelers there are two options:

1. Through the Cycling NZ website, selecting Morrinsville Wheelers as your club as part of either the Sport Membership or Race Licence option. To follow the Cycling New Zealand registration process click on this link . 

2. New from 2022/23 - Morrinsville Wheelers will be offering Club membership outside of the Cycling NZ process for those who would like to be a member and participate in Club rides, but do not desire to have a Cycling NZ license or pay the additional fees involved. Please use the form attached to complete this club only membership.
